If you are looking to renovate or redecorate your home, Richard Mishaan Design in New York is the perfect source for all of your interior decorating ideas.
Richard Mishaan was born and raised in Columbia. After receiving his BA from New York University and attending Columbia University School of Architecture, he began his career by apprenticing at the offices of Philip Johnson. His cultural roots and deep knowledge of architecture and interior design have given birth to the unique aesthetics of Richard Mishaan Design.
Aside from being an interior designer, architect and landscape architect, Richard Mishaan has published two books showcasing the genius of Richard Mishaan Design. In 2009 he published Modern Luxury, a book that compiles furniture and decor pieces he had found around the world to bring international ideas into his client’s homes. His next book was Artfully Modern, published in 2014. Artfully Modern is a collection of bold and exuberant looks he has created in his client’s homes and outdoor spaces.
The portfolio of Richard Mishaan Design is an extensive array of stylish, modern homes and businesses. This portfolio includes homes in Soho and Tribeca, summer houses in the Hamptons and even Trump World Towers. One particularly eye-catching project is one dubbed the “MET Home”. This residence makes use of sharp lines, edges and geometric figures to make a clean and artistic interior design. The curves of one entrance-way are designed to look as if you are staring at two women’s side profiles. The living room carpet is a bold black and white pattern and the main wall features four large and vivid kaleidoscope-like prints.
With a background in architecture and design, and a splash of Colombian culture, Richard Mishaan has a flair for picturesque home designs. For more information on Richard Mishaan Design, please visit RichardMishaan.com.
